A Christian imagination, too often impoverished by a superficial faith and a rationalist secularism, is in dire need of being awakened from its plight in order to grasp the larger picture of God’s direction for us and the world. Our calling is not just to attempt to understand the problems of life, but also to be part of the solution. If the death and resurrection of Christ point us to a new heaven and earth as our destiny, we have to apply this and vividly imagine what it might look like now, as we live our lives in the world.
