Reflection for the Week - April 18

Some argue we don’t need the gospel of the biblical text to be historical since it’s all about a way of living, not events in time. But such a view is reductionistic and therefore polarized and polarizations are unhelpful. Better to wager that this gospel has an historical impulse which results in a narrative testimony to the Christ, and as such is also deeply concerned with how to live.
