Irony, parody, and satire are not less than rhetorical constructs, but they surely can be much more in that they are able to refer to arguments or counter arguments, and to stake or unstake claims, leaving the interpreter to decide which is which.

By the way, let’s all be good evangelicals and pray that God would stop the aging process in our lives and at the same time fill up our bank accounts. If enough of us do so, maybe it’ll happen.
