The ZigZag Café - July 5

We will be convening here at the ZigZag café, Suisse, on Thursdays for conversation and dialogue. I invite you to stop by every Thursday for the question of the day. Your thoughts and participation are most welcome. Pull up a stool, avec un café, un thé, ou un chocolat chaud, et un croissant, and join in here on Thursday at the ZZ café.

For today:

Does God need the cosmos?

I don't think so. If so, then God would not be complete without his creation. On the other hand, I don't need my children. But I am responsible for them and love them and therefore let myself need them. But, thank God, I am not God (although there are occasions in which I pretend to be).

Carter,
Thanks. I like your insights. To let oneself be needed is not the same thing as the way that need is often connected with lack.
