We will be convening here at the ZigZag café, Suisse, on Thursdays for conversation and dialogue. I invite you to stop by every Thursday for the question of the day. Your thoughts and participation are most welcome. Pull up a stool, avec un café, un thé, ou un chocolat chaud, et un croissant, and join in here on Thursday at the ZZ café.
For today:
Does God change due to human/outside influence?

"The same yesterday, today . . .." Yet Abraham gets God to change his plans for Sodom & Gomorrah if there are but 50, then 45, then 40, then 30, then 20, then 10 righteous. "You have not because you ask not." And yet it may be that God never changed his intentions in the first place. When I am in my dark night of souls, I think that "if it be your will" is just to give God an out. I think I am just too finite to know.
Carter,
Thanks. These are really helpful insights and encapsulate some of the important issues concerning this question. I'll put it up again later and hopefully we can have more discussion.
