Reflection for the Week

Our lives are so cluttered with debris that it’s harder and harder to think. It’s almost as if there is a conspiracy to prevent us from thinking about anything at all. Being zombies and robots – that’s it – that’s what it’s all about. Don’t bother attempting to reverse the flow. Beware! Thinking may do some serious collateral damage to us all.

Sometimes I wonder if this lack of thinking has
something to do with the influx of technology in
our time. In a way, technology provides more
opportunity to think, with more info. But too much
can be isolating so that we don't work stuff out
with people on a day to day level with knowledge, conflict, resolution. Real thinking in real community.

Angela,
Thanks. This is a balanced comment. Tech is inevitable in our day and age, yet we must beware of our tendencies to let it control and determine our relationships. Real thinking involves work, commitment and, love.
