We will be convening here at the ZigZag café, Suisse, on Thursdays for conversation and dialogue. I invite you to stop by every Thursday for the question of the day. Your thoughts and participation are most welcome. Pull up a stool, avec un café, un thé, ou un chocolat chaud, et un croissant, and join in here on Thursday at the ZZ café.

Ideally, the kerygma is a proclamation of Christ. His life, his death, his resurrection, his mission, his kingdom. A true re-narrating of the theodrama. Realistically it's propaganda at worst and best exhortations to common sense replete with abuse of the text, anecdotal stories, faulty analogous reasoning, and bad doctrine.
And no.

Joshua,
Thanks. Preaching serves the purpose of exposing the text for understanding that leads to living.
I fear that preaching today may be far from what you highlight as the kerygma. Should we not get back to that, preaching will remain a sea of words.
